Protest in front of Tirana City Hall

The fourth protest lasted two hours in front of the Tirana City Hall, where hundreds of citizens, activists and politicians demanded the immediate resignation of the mayor Erion Veliaj after the publication of the "5D" file scandal, where several directors were arrested. 

Today's protest was accompanied by accusations against Veliaj and a call was made to SPAK to investigate and arrest this corrupt mayor. 

Part of the protest were also well-known actors and directors, such as Edmond Budina, Mehdi Malkaj and others who called on the citizens to protest and remove the thief Veliaj from the municipality. 

In this protest there were also clashes with the police, as citizens and opposition councilors tried to enter the building. 

Hundreds of police forces had surrounded this institution and did not allow any person to enter the municipality. Protesters threw flares, cigarettes, apples and oranges in the direction of the municipality. 

They warned that the next protest will take place next Friday and expressed their determination that they will not leave until Veliaj resigns. /CNA
