Albanians' assessment of the level of democracy

The level and functioning of democracy in our country is another question that was asked to the citizens by the "Barometer" in Euronews Albania.

On a scale from 1 to ten to evaluate democracy (where 1 means total dictatorship and 10 total democracy) the most significant percentages of the assessment made by the citizens are with the value 5-17.5%, the value 6 -15.6, with the value 7 have been evaluated by 19.3% of the respondents and with the value of 8.21.6% of the respondents.

While the lowest values ??from 1-3 (ie completely or more dictatorship) have a low percentage of citizens who have chosen them (1.8%-3.3%). The same can be said for the highest values ??(total democracy) 9 and 10, where again a low percentage of citizens have chosen them, specifically (4.9% and 3.2%).

Analyzed according to age groups, the youngest 18-24 year olds and the oldest 65-75 year olds do not show any significant difference in the evaluation of democracy in Albania.

The citizens are almost divided even when they are asked about the level of satisfaction with the way democracy works in Albania.

43.2% of citizens indicate that they are satisfied with the way democracy works in Albania and 55.5% of them are dissatisfied.

The highest level of satisfaction with the functioning of democracy in the country is among socialist voters, where 70.3% of them are satisfied with the way democracy works in Albania, completely different from the opposition voters where only 21.4% of them, are satisfied with the way democracy works in our country.
