The Minister of Entrepreneurship, Delina Ibrahimaj, has reacted to the conflict between her husband Andri Ibrahimaj and the citizen EK, the General Director of the Credit Processing Agency (ATK).
Ibrahimaj confirms that the fight happened near her husband's workplace.
She makes a play on words, as she justifies her husband by saying that he was unfairly accused and the investigation was closed for lack of evidence.
The minister says that she has asked her husband not to sue the director because the latter was the head of an institution subordinate to her when she was the Minister of Finance.
Ibrahimaj claims that there was no conflict with the director of TAK during my tenure at the head of Finance.
Full statement:
I am sorry that 5 months after an unwanted conflict, which has gone through the path of justice and received an answer in that path, today I have to give my explanation. I have no reason to blame anyone for publishing this fact, but I have the obligation to clarify elements that make the picture of the event completely truthful.
The conflict happened near my husband's place of work, not in the state offices, and after it was investigated by the justice bodies based on the report made by the other side, it was dismissed for lack of evidence. My only influence in this process was that I did not allow my husband to file a report, precisely because the person in question was the head of an addiction institution when I took office as Minister of Finance and I did not in any way want the family my take the initiative.
Another easily provable element is that despite the dynamics of the event and the fact that my husband has been unfairly accused of something he did not do, as confirmed by the decision of the prosecuting authorities, the accused party has continued to stay at the workplace even after my departure from the position of Minister of Finance and Economy 7 months ago.
I do not believe it is necessary at this point, but I am clarifying anyway that I have not had any conflict with the predicate during the entire time of my stay in that position, as I have not had any conflict with any person in my dependence.
This fact, I believe, speaks the truth that the conflict in question had nothing to do with me or my duty. Undoubtedly, it would have been better if it hadn't happened, but sometimes unwanted developments in relationships with others choose us, we don't choose them. But I repeat that this event has nothing to do with state institutions, with the functions of the institution that I ran and with me personally. At the same time, I understand with regret the fact that precisely because of my duty and public commitment, an event of 5 months ago makes news today for reasons that are not in my institutional tax to comment on.
My condolences to anyone who may have been disturbed by this news, but let everyone be convinced that there is no other truth than what I listed above./ CNA
