The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, has reacted to the widespread fire in Dhërmi, which endangers the homes.

Through a status on social networks, Peleshi announces that the intervention with tools has been difficult due to the broken terrain.

He informs that in order to extinguish the flames, he is intervening from the air with the "Cougar" helicopter.

Pelesi calls on all local structures to intervene immediately when they notice fires to prevent them from spreading to a wider area.

"The Cougar helicopter and FA operatives have gone to the aid of the forces that are trying to put out the fire this afternoon in Dhërmi. Due to the difficult terrain, the situation has been somewhat problematic for intervention with vehicles, but the troops are working to bring the flames under complete control.

We call on all local structures to intervene immediately when they notice fires to prevent them from spreading to a wider area. The FA, the Civil Defense Agency and the Ministry of Defense are on full alert in any case, when their help is requested", the Minister of Defense emphasizes./ CNA
