A mass dedicated to Archbishop Anastasios Janullatos was held this morning at the "Resurrection of Christ" Cathedral in Korçë. Hundreds of Orthodox believers attended the mass led by Father Ilia Kotnani, where prayers were offered for the soul of the Archbishop. With great pain and sorrow, the Orthodox believers lit candles and prayed for their benefactor and spiritual leader.

In his speech to "CNA TV", Father Ilia Kotnani emphasized that his work will be written in golden letters, adding that Archbishop Janullatos has served as a factor of peace and stability for Kosovo as well.

"We cannot find words to describe the departure from this life of our beloved Archbishop Anastas. His work, his deeds will be written in golden letters. From the moment he arrived until he left this life, there were always words of love, respect, humility, love for each other, love for those who do not love us in his mouth, and his epitaph remains on the day of the foundation stone on our church "Resurrection of Christ" in Korça, among other things, he said: "Even the stones that were thrown at us, we collected and decided to build churches."

Likewise for the war in Kosovo, and at the same time for the Kosovo drama, he has been a factor of peace, stability, love, friendship. Archbishop Anastasios remains a living, multifaceted figure, people like him rarely come to earth. This sorrow that we have we express with tears of joy because he has surely won heaven in the kingdom of God.

We are all certain that his blessings will continue to come from heaven towards our faith, towards our people, towards our state, and towards all of Christianity everywhere.

Therefore, our reason should send us to him to imitate him even a little, to be in his footsteps, because he has always sown love, has instilled in us respect, has given us God's blessings and let these be a cornerstone on our faith and let us be united and continue his work successfully. May his memory be eternal, may God rest him in the tents of the righteous! May we have his blessings everywhere in life! ", said Father Ilia Kotnani. /CNA
