The Special Prosecutor's Office seized the Tirana incinerator this Tuesday, after providing evidence for the affair denounced by CNA for years.

SPAK stated that there is evidence proving that Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri are the "de facto" owners of the company "Integrated Energy BV SPV" sh.pk, which won the concession contract for the Tirana incinerator.

Also, it has been proven that Zoto and Mërtiri are the "de facto" owners of the parent company established in Holland, "Integrated Energy BV", later changed to "Geogenix BV".

SPAK also reveals the staggering figures that the two most wanted have benefited from the affair at the Tirana incinerator.

According to this law-enforcement institution, Zoto and Mërtiri have benefited thanks to the falsified tax invoices, the monetary value of 409,428,000 new lek, or in other words 4 billion old lek.

Also, with the illegal benefits from the Tirana incinerator, they have bought a real estate in Durrës, with an area of ??611 m2, worth 1 million Euros, for the account of the entity "FMO" sh.pk, which they own indirect. This property was seized today by SPAK.

"From the acts administered up to this stage of the investigation, it results that the citizen Klodian Zoto, in cooperation with the citizen Mirel Mërtiri, have benefited thanks to forged tax invoices, the monetary value of 409,428,000 (four hundred nine million four hundred twenty eight thousand ) lek, where the citizen Klodian Zoto presented and declared falsified invoices for works performed through his other company "Integrated Energy Services" sh.pk, as a subcontractor of the concessionaire company "Integrated Energy BVSPV" sh.pk At the time of issue of these forged invoices, it is proven that the "de facto" shareholders were citizens Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri.

Also, the fact that the citizens Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri indirectly own the company "FMO" sh.pk. From the investigation, evidence was gathered that these citizens, using the illegal benefits, bought on behalf of the entity "FMO" sh.pk , a real estate, with an area of ??611 m2, worth 1,000,000 Euros, located in the city of Durrës" , says the announcement of the Special Prosecutor's Office./ CNA.al
