Tirana is setting records day after day with tower projects and recently the National Council of the Territory approved the development permit for a building with 65 floors above ground and six below ground.

In the last meeting held at the beginning of July (July 2, 2024), the KKT had on the agenda the approval of several construction or development permits for tower projects, the most important of which is the one on Bulevard e Ri that leaves behind the "Mount Tirana" project that is up to now the project with the highest height, with 58 floors.

On the list of KKT are also several projects on "Dritan Hoxha" street with 35 floors, or on "Teodor Keko" street, with a height of 50 floors above the ground. Now it seems that the towers are crossing the area inside the ring, pretending to be in the most peripheral part of the capital.

A project that envisages a multifunctional residential complex of 27 floors in the area of ??Kasharri.

In addition to the tower decisions, the government has given several other permits for projects of public institutions such as the Durrës Port Authority or the Ministry of Defense or public energy companies, while in the series it has also approved several photovoltaic plants.

Since 2019, there has been a significant increase in construction permits in Tirana. According to INSTAT data for the years 2019-2023, construction permits were granted for 6.5 million m2 from 4.2 million m2 for the period 2010-2018.
