"The Strait of Hormuz will be reopened"/ Trump: Here's when the

US President Donald Trump has stated that a deal with Iran is expected to be signed tomorrow, adding that immediately after its signing, the Strait of Hormuz will be open to all.

In a post on the "Social Truth" platform, Trump said that at a later stage, when the situation is calm, the United States of America will take and destroy Iran's enriched nuclear material, which he described as hidden.

“Barack Hussein Obama’s deal with Iran, the JCPOA, was an easy, nice, and quiet path to a nuclear weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago and used long ago. My deal with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL WITHOUT NUCLEAR WEAPONS! In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, whether through purchase, development, or any other form. The deal is scheduled to be signed tomorrow and immediately after it is signed, the Strait of Hormuz is OPEN TO ALL. Our relationship with Iran is very different and better than those that previous administrations have had. Unlike Obama’s hundreds of billions of dollars in payments to them, including $1.7 billion in cash, no money will be exchanged. At the appropriate time, when all is quiet, we will go and get the nuclear material, buried deep under the mighty sunken granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful B-2 Bombers and their brilliant pilots, and we will destroy it, whether in Iran or in the United States. We look forward to working with Iran and the entire Middle East, in the distant future. We hope this process will be completed quickly, easily and smoothly. If it does not, we have the final alternative, hopefully never to be used again! Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!” , said Trump.

Meanwhile, a senior Trump administration official announced that the memorandum of understanding being negotiated between Washington and Tehran provides for a 60-day period of technical negotiations after the signing of the agreement.

According to the official, the document includes several key commitments that Iran must accept, including dismantling its nuclear program, reopening the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping, and the US destruction of Iranian enriched nuclear materials.

Technical negotiations will focus on the concrete way to implement these measures and on the mechanisms that will ensure the fulfillment of obligations by both parties.

The deal, if finalized, could mark a new stage in relations between the US and Iran, after years of tensions over Iran's nuclear program and security in the Middle East region. /CNA
