Former Road Chief 1 hour in SPAK/ Preliminary hearing in his case is being held at GJKKO

The former head of the Road Traffic Directorate in Tirana appeared this Wednesday at SPAK where he stayed for about 1 hour.

After leaving the premises of the Special Prosecution Office, Zeka appeared at the GJKKO where a preliminary hearing is being held in his case, where it will be decided whether or not the case will proceed to trial.

The former head of the Roads Department, along with two other former officers, are suspected of receiving money from a citizen to avoid arresting the wife of a businessman.

For this, Zeka and the two former officials allegedly demanded 2 thousand euros. Roven Zeka, Sokol Novaku and Edison Tabaku are accused of corruption.

Zeka was arrested on April 19, 2025, and in July was placed under "house arrest."
