GJKKO rejects Irena Gjoka's request to withdraw from

The President of the GJKKO Erjon Bani rejects the request of Judge Irena Gjoka to resign from the criminal case in charge of the former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, for the "Gërdeci" file.

Bani argued that Gjoka is not in a position of incompatibility. Gjoka asked to be removed from the case, arguing that he had reviewed the same file in a preliminary phase.

The rapporteur of the case was Judge Gjoka herself, while prosecutor Klodian Braho reported on some of the evidence and requested that it become part of the judicial review.

The hearing was postponed to December 9./ CNA
