KPA overturns KPK decision/removes prosecutor Bushati from duty

The Special Appeals Chamber has overturned the KPK decision for prosecutor Agron Bushati.

As a result, in today's session, the KPA decided to dismiss Prosecutor Bushati from office. 

The decision was made by the panel of judges composed of Rezarta Schuetz as chair, Albana Shtylla as rapporteur, Mimoza Tasi, Natasha Mulaj, and Sokol Çomo as members.

The panel of the Special Appeals Chamber, composed of Rezarta Schuetz as presiding judge, Albana Shtylla as rapporteur, Mimoza Tasi, Natasha Mulaj, Sokol Çomo as members, announced the decision on case no. 53/2023, dated 09.11.2023, concerning the appeal of the Public Commissioner against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 702, dated 27.09.2023, relating to the re-evaluation subject Agron Bushati.

At the end of the trial, the panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter “b” of Law No. 84/2016, “On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, unanimously decided:

Amendment of the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission No. 702, dated 27.09.2023 and the dismissal from duty of the re-evaluation subject Agron Bushati.

This decision is final and has immediate effect.
