The head of civil emergencies, Haki Çako, stated today at the meeting of the Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense that there is currently an emergency situation due to the floods.

Çako further said that the three municipalities most exposed and damaged by the floods are Saranda, Delvina and Finiqi. He further added that without identifying, ascertaining and documenting the damages, no person can be compensated.

"I am aware of the consequences of the natural disaster that has occurred in recent days, from the 17th to the present. We can say that we are almost in an emergency situation. Not a declared state, but we are in an emergency situation. Today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, significant rainfall is expected, but not like in the days from the 17th to the 23rd. The three most exposed and damaged municipalities are Saranda, Delvina and Finiqi. The entire capacity of the operational forces at the central level has been focused to help all residents whose homes have been flooded or whose livestock, beekeeping and poultry have been significantly damaged. Without identifying, ascertaining and documenting the damages, no one can be compensated," said Çako. /CNA
