The Ministry of Health has shared statistics on the screening of dental and eye problems in children in schools as part of the National Vision and Dental Screening Program.
According to data for the 2024-2025 school year, 102,201 students with vision problems and 132,764 students with dental problems were screened. Screening guarantees early detection of problems and better development of children.
“ The National Vision and Dental Screening Program provides children with preventive health services within school settings.
"132,764 students have been screened for dental problems and 102,201 for vision problems for the 2024–2025 school year, ensuring early detection and healthy growth ," the Ministry's announcement states.
After discovering the problems, the children are referred to specialist doctors for treatment./ CNA
