The High Prosecutorial Council announced today that interviews with candidates for the new head of the Special Prosecution Office will be held on December 11th.

The four approved candidates are: Adnan Xholi, Doloreza Musabelliu, Elvin Gokaj and Klodjan Braho.

Adnan Jolli

Xholi is the most talked about name so far in the race for the head of SPAK, one of the people who stands by the leader Altin Dumani.

Xholi was born in Dibër on July 6, 1975. He completed his studies as a lawyer at the Faculty of Law. He was appointed as a prosecutor on January 6, 2004.

01.05.1998-31.12.1999/ Judicial Police Officer of the Prosecution Section, in the Tepelena Judicial District Prosecution Office.

01.01.2000 - 31.12.2000/ Deputy Director of Prosecution (Deputy District Prosecutor), at the Prosecution Office at the Gjirokastra Judicial District Court.

01.01.2001-05.01.2004/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office at the Gjirokastra Judicial District Court.

January 2004- May 2013/ Prosecutor at the Prosecution Office at the First Instance Court for Serious Crimes, Tirana.

August 2012- December 2012/ Commanding Officer at the Prosecutor's Office at the Lezha Judicial District Court.

June 2013-2017/ Prosecutor/Director of the Directorate of Control of Investigation and Criminal Prosecution at the General Prosecutor's Office.

Doloreza Musabelliu

He graduated in 2002 from the University of Tirana and in 2005 from the Magistrate's School.

Previously held the following duties:

11.10.2004 -19.12.2019/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office at the Court for Serious Crimes.

19.12.2019 - 31.01.2020/ Prosecutor at the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana (after the suspension of the existing Prosecution Office at the Court for Serious Crimes).

From January 31, 2020 and currently, she is a prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).

23.07.2021 - currently/ Prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime.

Elvin Gokaj

During the years 1994 - 1998, Gokaj completed his 4-year higher education studies at the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University in Shkodra.

He was appointed as a prosecutor on December 5, 2000.

Previously held the following duties:

2000-2007/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance Mat.

2007-2012/ Prosecutor at the Prosecution Office at the Elbasan Court of First Instance.

2013-2014/ Prosecutor at the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of Durres.

2014-2021/ Prosecutor and head of the Prosecution Office at the Shkodra Court of Appeal.

From December 13, 2021 and currently, Gokaj holds the position of Prosecutor in the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).

Klodjan Braho

He was born in Skrapar on July 21, 1982. In the years 2000-2004 he completed his studies at the Faculty of Law and in 2005-2008 he studied at the School of Magistrates.

He received the appointment on November 14, 2007.

Previously held the following duties:

14.11.2007-2012/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office at the Berat Judicial District Court.

2012-2015/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office of the Vlora Judicial District Court.

2014-2015/ Deputy Head of the Prosecution Office at the Vlora Judicial District Court.

2015-19.12.2019/ Prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court for Serious Crimes in Tirana.

From December 19, 2019 and currently, he is a prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).

The three-year mandate of the current head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, ends in December of this year. /CNA
