Convicted in Italy for premeditated murder/ The prosecution seizes the assets of

The Tirana Prosecution Office has announced that it has seized the assets of a citizen with three names. This citizen was arrested in Italy for 'Premeditated Murder' and 'Production and sale of narcotics'

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, the assets of citizen VD alias ED alias ED and his family members, arrested in Italy for the criminal offenses of "Attempted Premeditated Murder" and "Narcotics Trafficking", were seized.

In the framework of property proceedings no. 03, dated 17.04.2025, it was concluded that the value of the movable and immovable assets registered in the name of citizen VD and his family members, more specifically an apartment and two bank accounts, cannot be justified by their legal income. This movable asset is suspected to have been acquired by citizen VD, as a result of his involvement in the activity "Production and sale of narcotics".

This citizen was internationally wanted for the criminal offenses of "Murder" and "Drug Trafficking". On 12.10.2005, the wanted was canceled after he was arrested in Italy.

From the investigations, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana concluded that the unjustified property is directly owned and fully possessed by citizen VD alias ED and his mother.

In view of the above, based on articles 3 to 7, 11, 12, 14 and 15 et seq. of Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the prevention and suppression of organized crime, trafficking and corruption through preventive measures against property", as amended, the following assets were requested and seized:

Real Estate apartment No. 214/342+1-46, zk 3866, vol 76, pg 62, Tirana;

Bank account with current balance of 1,097,636.86 lekë; and

Bank account with current balance of 1,601,434.50 lekë /CNA
