A patient in the psychiatric department in Kosovo has lost his life.

The University Hospital and Clinical Service of Kosovo announced the event in question, where it says that it is suspected that a patient set the room on fire and died due to the smoke.

Despite the best efforts of the health staff to save the patient, he died, announced the SHSKUK.

The event took place on the evening of Wednesday, August 23 at around 11:00 p.m., in the Psychiatric Emergency and Intensive Care Department.

It is also reported that another patient and the care team, two doctors and two nurses, showed signs of smoke poisoning and were sent to the Emergency.

Currently, the police, in coordination with the prosecutor, have started investigative actions to fully clarify the circumstances that characterize the case, which is described as arson and causing general danger./ CNA
