The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj has inspected the works for the rehabilitation of the dam on Lake Çekreza and the road to this lake.

During the inspection, Veliaj said that they will be completed by the end of August, while he invited citizens and businesses to invest in agro-tourism in this area, to transform it into another destination, like the Farka Lake Park.

"This lake was conceived, just like the lake of Farka, only for irrigation, and today, in addition to irrigation, we have it guaranteed with a column of automatic opening and closing of the gates, with a reinforced dam and the entire emergency system if dam overflows, by switching to self-discharge, we have created the possibility for it to also serve as a space for entertainment and relaxation. Along with the dam, we also invested in the road, so it will be even easier to come to ?erkeza, only 15 km from Tirana. We will call this project closed until the end of August, but with the closure of this project, an invitation is opened for all those who want to invest here in agritourism, for all those who want to buy property, create residences, because I believe that the fantastic experience of Lake Tirana and Farka,said Veliaj.

Among other things, the mayor declared that he will also intervene in Linza Lake and emphasizes that he will give a new impetus to the development of the entire area of ??Fresko.

He also added that another project is the connection between Zall Herri and Tufina, where Arbri Road ends.

"The next plan is Linza lake. It is a smaller lake, but in a denser area. I want us to open this area for those who want to do agro-tourism and residential areas. If you see, it is surrounded by an olive grove, it is several times more systemized and connected with infrastructure than Farka was, when we started the investment. Another project, which I believe will be vital for Zall Herri, is the connection between Zall Herri and Tufina, where Arbri Road ends.
