Prime Minister Edi Rama in a press release said that the oil discovered in Shpirag is of a higher quality than has ever been discovered before in Albania.

He also spoke about the value that the oil project will have, saying that it is a 7 billion euro investment in our country.

"The fantastic news is that the oil discovered is of the highest quality. It is the first time that this happens in our country because the sources of oil that have been discovered before are sources of a heavy oil, it is not an oil that can enter the consumption of vehicles and its value is very modest. According to the analyzes done in the Netherlands laboratory, the oil of Shpirag is oil of the same quality as in Saudi Arabia. The projection is that until the completion of the necessary infrastructure, it is 7 billion euros of investment in our country. Investment that foresees all the infrastructure for storage, separation into gas, sulfur oil and the third is of particular importance because it creates a basis for the production of agricultural and cosmetic inputs."/ CNA
