Innovation in the farmer's portal/ The prices for fish products are

The farmer's portal, which has been operating for 2 months, orienting farmers with the daily market prices for fruits and vegetables, has already added prices for fish products.

In the portal, the daily prices of the majority are given for 48 types of fish products for all markets of Albania. Prices are given in ALL/kg.

Referring to the data of the portal, the wholesale price of lobster is 7,000 ALL per kg. While 1 kg of sea bass in the wholesale market in Saranda and Gjirokastër costs 800 Lek. The price of aquaculture cod fish in Saranda and Gjirokastër is 750 lek per kg, while in the market of Shengjin, cod fish of the first category costs 1,200 lek per kg and of the second category 900 lek per kg.

The price of the first depth shrimp for the markets of Sarandë and Gjirokastër costs 500 lek per kg.

The price of koran fish that grows in the waters of Lake Ohrid, according to the farmer's portal, costs 2,000 lek per kg in bulk.

The farmer's portal clarifies that the source of published fish product prices is based on daily reference prices collected by fishing boats and Fisheries Management Organizations (FMOs). In case of unsuitable sailing conditions or during closed seasons, prices for some or all fish products will not be published. The publication of prices is informative.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca affirmed that the portal is also accessible as an application on the Google Play platforms and the App Store from where it can be easily downloaded from any mobile device.

The Ministry of Agriculture plans to increase the prices for some other agricultural products. The portal has also started reflecting the price of wheat and corn on foreign exchanges./Revista Monitor
