The steps leading to the arrest of Arben Ahmetaj, how SPAK operates

With 117 votes in favor, SPAK's request for the removal of Arben Ahmetaj's immunity was approved today in the Assembly. Only 3 MPs abstained on SPAK's request. 

The steps that SPAK will follow

After today's vote, the Assembly must respond to SPAK's request that it paved the way for the arrest of Arben Ahmetaj.

Then SPAK will turn to the Special Court to request the signing of the arrest warrant for Arben Ahmetaj.

It will be the preliminary judge who will decide whether to accept the "prison arrest" security measure or to assign another security measure for former Deputy Prime Minister Ahmetaj. Also, whether or not he will allow the inspection of the apartment of the former deputy prime minister.

If the court gives "OK", SPAK immediately asks the state police to execute the decision. The police start the domestic search for Ahmetaj for a period of 3 weeks. If you do not find him within the country, then Ahmetaj is declared internationally wanted.

Arben Ahmetaj is accused of "abuse of duty", "concealment of assets" and "passive corruption" for the incinerators.
