About 11,000 students want to leave Albania/ Apply for studies abroad

About 30,000 graduates finished high school and are expected to apply to university banks to continue their higher studies.

But CNA has learned that out of about 30,000 high school graduates across the country, 10,873 of them have applied for studies abroad.

In form A1, 10,873 students have chosen the option "Yes" in the question "Apply abroad".

This shows that a very high number of students want to leave Albania and most of those who leave to study abroad do not return to their homeland.

To stop the departure of young people, the Government blocked the diplomas of medical students, forcing them to work for the Albanian state for 5 years.

Meanwhile, students are seeing leaving before completing their studies as a solution.
