Strike paralyzes customs/ Police appeal to drivers

Montenegrin authorities have announced that on 14.04.2026, starting at 09:30, for a period of 72 hours, the Truckers' Association of the Republic of Montenegro will hold a protest.

For security reasons and to avoid road blockages or possible incidents, the movement of heavy vehicles from Albania to Montenegro will not be allowed until the end of the protest.

On the road axes leading to the border crossings with the Republic of Montenegro, only small vehicles, emergency vehicles, buses and passenger transport vehicles will be allowed to circulate. 

The Border Police requests the understanding of drivers of heavy tonnage vehicles, to respect the period of movement restriction, in order to avoid road blockages or possible incidents./ CNA
