Strike in the region temporarily paralyzes transport/ Customs issues important

The General Directorate of Customs has announced that, according to information from the customs authorities of Montenegro, a transporters' strike is expected to take place on April 14-16, 2026, also including Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

According to the announcement, the strike will temporarily block the movement of heavy tonnage vehicles in these countries and at the border points in the region.

Authorities announce that during this period, only the transport of live animals, emergencies, and the circulation of vehicles will be allowed.

The strike is expected to last three days, while customs are calling on transport operators to take precautions to avoid delays and obstacles in the movement of goods.

"The General Directorate of Customs informs that, according to the announcement by the customs authorities of Montenegro, a transporters' strike will take place on April 14-16, 2026 in:

Montenegro Bosnia and Herzegovina Serbia

As a result, a temporary blockage of the movement of heavy tonnage vehicles is expected.

During this period: Exceptions will only be made for the transport of vehicles with live animals or in emergency cases, as well as for the movement of vehicles.

Implementation deadline: April 14-16, 2026," the announcement says./ CNA
