Check at Rrogozhina prison/ Illegal items found

The Directorate of Prisons has announced that a search was conducted today in the cells of the Rrogozhina prison, to discover illegal items.

The announcement states that cutting tools, electronic devices, communication accessories, and a mobile phone were found and seized during the searches.

Stop prohibited items in the penitentiary system.

A broad campaign of inspections has been launched in all prison institutions, with the aim of cracking down without compromise on any illegality and strengthening security.

As part of this action, on April 6, a control was carried out at the Durrës Penitentiary Institution and on April 11, at the Rrogozhina Penitentiary Institution, with the engagement of the Operational Forces and security structures.

The checks included every environment, without exception. As a result, prohibited items were discovered and seized, including a mobile phone, improvised cutting tools, chargers, electronic devices and communication accessories. For any case that constitutes a criminal offense, legal procedures were immediately followed.
