In the atmosphere of the Easter holiday, the Metropolis of Korça turned into an important center of receptions and congratulations, where high-ranking political figures and representatives of religious communities gathered to convey messages of peace, hope and unity.

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, was present at these receptions, expressing his joy for participating in this holy day for Orthodox believers. He wished that the light of Easter illuminate the hearts of all Albanians and bring more goodness, solidarity and harmony to society. The Head of State also conveyed his congratulations for a successful ministry to the Metropolitan of Korça.

"Thank you very much for the hospitality. I am very happy today to be in Korça to wish the Orthodox believers, from the Metropolis of Korça, a happy Easter. "We have just congratulated the Holy Metropolis of Korça, the Orthodox believers of the Korça area and not only, on their Easter holiday. There are some elements that are in the Islamic religion, we have in common the figure of Mary or Maryam as we call her in the Islamic religion of Isa or Jesus Christ whom we consider prophets of God, his messengers. We consider the Gospel as a book sent down by God but on other theological issues we normally have our differences but this does not prevent us from coming to congratulate, to be in joy with each other. On this occasion, I want to wish all the Orthodox believers of the Korça area and not only, a happy Easter for many years", congratulated the Mufti of Korça.

Congratulations to Orthodox believers were also conveyed by Democratic Party MP, Ledina Alolli, who underlined the symbolism of Easter as the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, wishing peace, health and prosperity to all Albanian families.
