"I do not forget my roots"/ Albanian MEP shares message for Diaspora

MEP Adnan Dibrani has shared a message on social media at the start of the 4th Diaspora Summit in Tirana. Dibrani says that he will not be able to attend this summit this year, while adding that he will never forget his roots.

"Hello everyone, many of you have come from the diaspora this week to visit Tirana and Albania. This week I have to go to Washington, but that's how it is written for us, always on the move.  All the time, both in Stockholm and in the European Parliament in Brussels, I never forget my roots! Born in Mitrovica, but raised in Sweden, I am proud to be Albanian and everyone knows that I am Albanian. Today in Tirana, the IV Diaspora Summit begins. This three-day event is scheduled to be held on April 13-14-15. The official slogan of the summit, which will be held at the Palace of Congresses, is: "Through our roots we rise."

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has also published the summit agenda, which includes numerous discussion panels on various topics, as well as many guests, highlighting important personalities from Albania and the diaspora.

Among the participants are the Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu; the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi; the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Nik Gjeloshaj; the former Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic; the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca. /CNA
