The court of Lezha has set the security measure of arrest and imprisonment for Ruben Saraiva, accused of murdering Ardian Nikulaj.
Before the jury, the Portuguese denied the accusations and the involvement in the murder of the businessman in Shengjin.
His lawyer stated that Saraiva stated that he had nothing to do with the incident and that he came to Albania for vacation.
Today he was escorted to the Court under strict security measures.
He was arrested in Morocco on May 8 at the expense of the Albanian authorities and was extradited to Albania on December 31, 2023./ CNA
