The well-known German media, "Bild", has devoted an article to the mass protest held yesterday in front of the Municipality of Tirana, where the citizens demanded the resignation of Erion Veliaj, for the scandal with the "5D" file, where the directors of this institution were arrested. 

"Bild" writes that in the crossroads there is massive anger towards Erion Veliaj, after the big corruption scandal, which was followed by the arrest of Veliaj's associates. According to "BILD", this is a big scandal in the capital of the Western Balkans. 

"Incendiary devices and mass anger: Thousands of citizens have been on the streets for days in the capital of Albania, Tirana. The reason: A major corruption scandal is shaking the metropolis of the Western Balkans. Further, the German media underlines that the damage from the case of corruption reaches the value of 25 million euros. 

"Thousands of people marched in front of the town hall on Thursday, demonstrating against Socialist Mayor Erion Veliaj, who is considered the preferred successor to Prime Minister Edi Rama. Incendiary devices were thrown and the police had to surround the city administration. What drives people to the streets: Main politicians of the city are said to have set up companies through straw men, who were then awarded public contracts! Damage known so far: 25 million euros of public money in Europe's second poorest country! The mayor is said to be involved of the municipality.
