Seizure of documents/ The Supreme Court dismisses Malltez's appeal

The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal of the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Berisha, Jamarbër Malltezi.

The latter had requested the removal of the seizure of documents, but just as for the property, the seizure was not lifted for the documentation as well.

This measure has been decided within the framework of the investigations for the privatization of the former Partizani complex.

The member of the DP National Council is under house arrest, as he is accused of passive corruption of high state officials and laundering the proceeds of the criminal offense related to the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex. 

SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as prime minister, favored the privatization procedures of the former "Partizani" complex and that Malltezi was the direct beneficiary.

SPAK declares that on the land of the former "Partizani" complex, Malltezi, as an investor from the company "Homeplan" sh.pk, has carried out constructions and the benefits are calculated in the amount of 672 billion ALL or 5 million euros./  CNA
