Hundreds of police forces have surrounded the Municipality of Tirana and barriers have been set up, while thousands of protesters demand the resignation of Erion Veliaj. 

"O thief", these are the calls of the citizens to Velija.

Meanwhile, the daughter of former prime minister Sali Berisha, Argita Malltezi, is present at the protest. They will demand the resignation of the mayor Erion Veliaj after the scandal and the thefts committed by his directors who are behind bars.

Mariglen Qato, Redi Molla, Taulant Tusha and other municipal officials are involved in a theft scheme that captures the figure of 20 million euros.

They have abused through tenders by favoring and removing competition.
