Muslim believers celebrate Eid al-Fitr in Korça

After the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslim believers in Korça gathered this Friday morning to pray the Eid al-Fitr prayer.

The ceremony began at around 06:30 in the square of the “Iljaz Bey Mirahori” mosque, where hundreds of believers joined in prayers and congratulations on this holy day. The prayer rite was led by the mufti of Korça, Ledian Cikalleshi, who in his message wished all believers for more peace, prosperity and goodness in their families, describing this holiday as the reward for the sacrifice of a month of fasting.

"On this festive day at the Iljaz Bey Mirahori mosque, I wish all Muslim believers in the Korça region and all Albanians wherever they are, a happy Eid al-Fitr for many years. This holiday is the culmination of the 30-day sacrifice of fasting during the month of Ramadan."

Meanwhile, believers have also conveyed their congratulations, describing Eid al-Fitr as a blessed day that unites families and strengthens faith.

"It's a great day, a blessed day that Albanians celebrate everywhere in the world. Happy birthday to you."

"After a month of fasting, today we celebrate Eid al-Fitr. I pray that Allah accepts everyone's fasting and brings health and prosperity to every family."
