In this exhibition, Pojani has brought a series of traditional costumes belonging to different historical periods, made with great care and skill. Every detail, from the embroideries to the use of old objects, reflects the artist's passion and dedication to preserving the cultural heritage of Korça.

As Lirika herself tells CNA, “Korça Once Upon a Time” is a continuation of her first exhibition “Ethno Art”, which has aroused widespread interest among the public for more than a year. Through this new exhibition, Pojani has aimed to bring back the memories, colors and symbols of a bygone era, building a mosaic of figures that show the rich identity of the city.

" This exhibition is a continuation of my first exhibition 'Etno Art' which has been operating in the city for more than 1 year. Now I come with 'Korça once upon a time', not without purpose I brought Korça once upon a time in those years, a mosaic of characters, colors, symbols showing our identity which we have very diverse and very precious ", said the costume designer.

Preparations for this project began at the beginning of the year, with detailed research and the collection of authentic materials. The artist says she has carefully studied documents, old photographs and traditional elements, also relying on the help of modern technology to accurately recreate the costumes of the past.

"Of course, I've been working on this for a while. The work began at the beginning of the year, collecting materials, browsing because it is a very big responsibility to speak in the language of tradition. For this reason, I had to be very precise. I believe I succeeded, this is up to people so that when they visit it, see it, love it, the nostalgia returns," said costume designer Lirika Pojani.

Pojani sees this work as a duty and responsibility to keep the language of tradition alive. She believes that knowledge of cultural heritage should not remain dormant, but be passed down from generation to generation.

"The materials certainly work, there are collectors who keep old photos. I've browsed, I've seen, now technology is developed and has helped me. With this exhibition, the first and main thing for me is to recognize cultural heritage, not let it be dormant and to be recognized by all generations. We have a very beautiful, rich and diverse ethnography and we must convey this ," Lirika Pojani told CNA.

When we ask her about other exhibitions, Lirika very firmly states that she will bring something new to Korça every year.

" Of course, it's out of the question. Year after year I will come with very beautiful exhibitions, always in the field of ethnography but also history ," said Lirika Pojani.

The exhibition “Korça once upon a time” is an invitation to restore memory and feel the pride of the heritage that connects us to our roots. Through her art, Lirika Pojani not only preserves and revives tradition, but transforms it into a living experience, which inspires every visitor and makes Korça shine even more on the cultural map of the country./CNA
