Boga and Thethi in the eyes of painters/ The 20 best come to "Lissus

20 of the best painters in the country worked on their works in Theth and Bogë for four consecutive days, ranging from landscapes to traditional costumes of men and women in the heart of the Albanian Alps. The activity came within the framework of "Lissus Art", an event that brings together painters in the country.

"We are in Bogë at the moment of the exhibition of the works. We have been working for 4 days. A colony organized by art lovers. An impressive colony because the terrain here itself is magnificent. This panorama influences our canvases. We moved from Lezha to Theth and Bogës to travel in the spring to Dumre. It is a result that will remain in the archive since in 2025 a group of artists explored this place. The goal was autumn, because they are national assets to paint ," said the painter, Pashk Përvathi.

Painter Buron Kaceli has expressed that these activities are important for the artists themselves.

"These activities are important for us artists. If we talk about this colony, it is extremely important where we have all created good works. I passed here 40 years ago and today I am amazed. I will come again. I have done some good works, it is our wealth ," said Kaceli.

The organizer of the colony, which has brought together 20 painters from all over the country for two years, Dedë Maluta, says that his goal is to keep landscape works alive for the younger generation, paintings that are increasingly becoming scarce due to new forms of art.

"This is the activity that is being held for the 4th time in Albania. We are a colony from all the cities, about 20 of them. We aim to unite the Albanian lands through the telajo. After Albania in Kosovo, Macedonia and I hope that later also in Calabria. We have a pleiad of artists and the young people seem not to be inheriting it. So we want to preserve them as a treasure," Maluta said.

The colony of Albanian painting artists has been traveling to the most beautiful areas of the country for two years with the aim of highlighting through works of art the impressive nature that our country has from north to south. Next year they aim to travel to other Albanian-speaking regions including Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and even Calabria. /CNA
