Analyst Andi Bushati commented today on the local election process that took place on Sunday in Kosovo.

Invited to 'Syri Tv', Bushati emphasized that after counting the votes for mayors, the biggest fear is that the picture of political fragmentation may be repeated.

Bushati said that in terms of progress and results, Kosovo shows that they know how to hold elections and change power.

"What can be said as a conclusion is that there are elections there. The way the results are released, how the elections are held, etc., how the power is changed. But what has these 7 months done to us, since the February elections. What has made Kosovo have a political scene fragmented into several parcels that are unable to find words with each other.

 Even if the results of the local elections, even if early general elections are held, if Kurti is unable to form a government, the fear is that this picture, this picture of fragmentation, will be repeated.

 "So we have moved on from the time when Albin Kurti received 50+1 of the Kosovar vote, we are at the point where Vetëvendosje remains the leading party, but not a party that creates a government on its own," Bushati said./ CNA
