The head of the democrats, Sali Berisha, in the nightly press conference, stated that the DP will declare a fierce and merciless war against the misery of poverty.

According to Berisha, even if pensions and salaries will increase by 20%, they do not give the deserved answer to poverty in Albania.

"Tonight I want to announce that PD will declare a fierce and merciless war against the misery of poverty.

At a time when poverty and misery are rampant in the four corners of the country, PD decides that its program will determine the distribution of national income in the fight against the misery of Albanians.

The budget from the first day will be determined mainly for pensions, living minimum, salary and not only that. The vital minimum of 200 dollars and the increase of salaries and pensions by 20% again do not give the deserved answer to poverty in Albania." /CNA
