The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated at the weekly conference with journalists that there will be a radical change in the party's program.

This change, according to Berisha, foresees a powerful intervention, a real revolution in the distribution of income and public assets in Albania.

The leader of the opposition emphasized that a number of measures should be taken to reduce poverty in the country.

"There will be a radical change in the DP program. This radical change of the DP foresees a powerful intervention, a real revolution in the distribution of income and public assets in Albania.

The party of free initiative never believes that PD can fight poverty by fighting free initiative. But what the PD and its government have in hand is to overturn the current scheme of distribution of income and public assets so that Albanians have a normal life regardless of their activity.

Today, Albania is the country with the highest percentage of population poverty and misery in the world, which from an inhumane distribution of income from their massive looting and natural resources has resulted in extreme poverty increasing more than 3 times and relative poverty to pass to 46 %. This is an alarm siren that sounds in almost half of the Albanian homes.

We have announced the removal of VAT for basic foods, but the analysis of all these measures and their comparison with reality shows that a series of other measures are necessary", said Berisha./ CNA
