Kaso: We do not want electronic voting in the 2025 elections

The secretary for electoral affairs in DP, Ivi Kaso, requested that there be no electronic voting in the parliamentary elections of 2025.

Kaso said in the show "Barometer" that electronic voting should not be done in any district without transparency about the problems in the previous elections.

He declared that the machine did not configure the citizens' vote, but configured a different vote from their will.

"We do not want electronic voting not only in Tirana, in any region of Albania in these elections, at this time, without becoming transparent about what happened in the previous process. The past process has been deeply complicated, there has been a configuration of machinery different from the legal provisions. The legal provisions had the option of the voter, as was the case a couple of elections before, that if he did not like the vote that appeared on the screen, he could cancel the vote. While this has been guaranteed in the by-laws, it has not been configured in the machine", stressed Kaso./ CNA
