Kaso raises the alarm/ "The vote of the diaspora is endangered by expired identity documents"

Secretary for election issues in DP, Ivi Kaso

The secretary for electoral affairs in DP, Ivi Kaso, raised an alarm, while talking about the votes of the diaspora in the 2025 parliamentary elections.

Kaso said that the main concern is related to identity documents.

He stated in the "Barometer" show that many immigrants cannot vote because their identification documents have expired.

"From the contact we have with Albanians with permanent residence abroad in different countries, we often face some of their concerns, which I could divide into 3 categories.

The first and most massive concern has to do with the identity documents, with the validity period of the identity documents, for that part that has been equipped with the biometric identity documents", emphasized Kaso./ CNA
