The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, requested the change of the deadlines for the registration of legal entities for the 2025 parliamentary elections.

Celibashi said that this is the only solution to avoid the failure of the diaspora vote.

This proposal of Gjiknuri has found the agreement of the political parties.

The secretary for electoral affairs in the SP, Damian Gjiknuri, and the secretary for electoral affairs in the DP, Ivi Kaso, expressed their willingness to make changes to the Electoral Code for the diaspora vote.

"We have said through the chairman of the party that if the legal solution would be the last and appropriate solution that guarantees the process, we certainly will not let this process fail due to technical aspects", said Ivi Kaso.

Meanwhile, Gjiknuri stated that: "We think that a postponement of a few days to bring the candidate registration deadline closer is the most practical possible solution"./ CNA
