The murder of the 14-year-old/ Rama takes measures: We will discuss the closure

After the meeting of the government, Prime Minister Edi Rama gave important announcements regarding the measures being taken after the murder of the 14-year-old near the Fan Noli school.

Rama said that the government is in a dilemma and it will be discussed whether to close Tik Tok and Snapchat throughout the Republic of Albania.

"Many countries are trying to install protective filters, but still without any results.

We are committed to this problem by following step by step what other countries are doing to find a solution to reduce this pressure.

Beyond the efforts and debates related to the initiatives, the open problem remains the lack of a system for their implementation as a result of the difficulty of the technical aspect. Our dilemma as a government is whether we should produce and move in the direction of filters where we learn that their effectiveness is low while bullying increases or take drastic measures for the complete closure of "TikTok" and "Snapchat" in Albania.

We will throw it out for a broad discussion. All schools will be committed to make a decision as democratic as possible for such a big problem", said Rama./ CNA
