The Minister of Education Ogerta Manastirliu has reacted for the first time after the serious incident at the "Fan Noli" school, where a 14-year-old boy with the initials MC was stabbed to death by a peer after a conflict for weak motives.

In her reaction, Manastirliu emphasizes that the event that happened two days ago is a strong bell, which requires the further strengthening of cooperation between the trinomial of teachers - parents - students.

Manastirliu held a meeting with representatives of the Ministries, leaders of central and local institutions, parents and teachers, civil society organizations and international partners, where it was discussed about the increased measures to strengthen the mechanisms for preventing violence in schools, through a Action plan for preventing any form of violence and increasing safety in schools.

"The safety of children is our absolute priority and strengthening the prevention mechanisms against any form of violence inside or outside the school remains our common commitment.

The serious event that happened two days ago is a strong bell, which requires the further strengthening of cooperation between the trinomial of teachers - parents - students; a new approach to the civic, legal, media and digital education curriculum throughout the education cycle, addressing the challenges of the time we live in and technological and social development.

In a special meeting with representatives of the Ministries, leaders of central and local institutions, parents and teachers, civil society organizations and international partners, we discussed the increased measures to strengthen the mechanisms for preventing violence in schools, through an Action Plan for preventing any form of violence and increasing security in schools, starting from the education curriculum, improving the protocols of social service workers and psychologists as well as school security officers; to proactive platforms for signaling cases of conflicts, any form of violence, bullying, including online, and services for dealing with phenomena in educational structures and the community", writes Manastirliu./ CNA
