In a statement to the media, DP spokesperson Floriana Garo reacted to the murder of the 14-year-old.

Garo stated that the security package turned into the "uncertainty" package in this case.

The DP spokeswoman emphasized that what makes the case tragic is not only the loss of a young life, but the fact that the police, the institutions, the Ministry of the Interior, cannot secure even limited and easily controllable territories such as schools.

Garo added that there is no security with this government.

"The 14-year-old lost his life tragically, and a friend of his age was seriously injured, after a fight with knives between the students of the Fan Noli school in the premises of this educational institution.

It is not only the young age, nor the fight with cold weapons of teenagers in a school in Tirana, but it is the climate of insecurity, of terror, which has been ruling in Tirana since a week and which returns at alarming intervals.

First, on behalf of the Democratic Party, I express my condolences as a mother to the Cani family. We also wish the other wounded young man a speedy recovery!

What makes the case tragic is not only the loss of a young life, but the fact that the police, the institutions, the Ministry of the Interior, cannot even secure limited and easily controllable territories such as schools.

10 days ago, it took the intervention of two teachers of the "Petro Nini" high school to disarm a student who came to school with a knife and an ax in his bag.

The police hid the incident because what matters to Minister Hoxha and Rilindje are statistics, not safety and not life.

What makes Rilindja funny is that, when Taulant Balla and Evis Kushi were in charge of the Ministry of Interior and Education, they presented a "security package" to schools. With cameras, noise, chest beating and promises, that package has turned from security to "Insecurity".

Our children are in danger. The schools where they study are lost and uncontrolled territories.

The current Minister of Education, Manastirliu, has found the solution according to her. He says that crime is prevented when the opposition no longer tells the government loudly in Parliament that you are stealing and desolating Albania.

This is their plan. Don't raise your voice when we steal! We say it and we will repeat it. A political police, regardless of who is in charge, Balla or Hoxha, that becomes a wall of brutality in front of the opposition and a whip over ordinary citizens does not ensure public order.

It has only one purpose: to ensure the power of directors and governors. As citizens, as mothers and fathers of sons who remain under the knives or bullets of crime, we all have a common task, regardless of political beliefs: to overthrow this government and any government that preserves its power more than the lives of the people it is supposed to protect," said Garo./ CNA
