This Monday, the Assembly started the work for the review in principle of the draft budget of 2025, while today it is expected to be approved in the parliament.

The marathon session will continue today. The parliamentary session of the previous day lasted over 12 hours, which was accompanied by numerous debates between the opposition and the majority.

From the first minutes of the start of the parliamentary session, there were debates and tensions after Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that there will be an increase in the year-end bonus while promising a second bonus at the beginning of each spring.

Next year's budget is expected to be 8 billion Euros, while the opposition has accused the government that the funds are being wasted.

The opposition will also express its opposition to the draft budget through a protest, which is expected to take place today at 17:00, but in case the budget will be approved on Tuesday morning, Chief Democrat Sali Berisha also warned of a shift in the protest schedule./ CNA
