The International Center of the Right approved this Monday a resolution on the situation in Albania, where it condemns the government of Edi Rama.

The political leader of the DP for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, reacted to the approval of this resolution.

The latter writes on social networks that this resolution is historic and points to the most important wounds of our country.

According to him, this is a clear signal that internationals have turned their eyes and minds from Albania, giving a signal and support to the opposition at the right moment.

Historic resolution!

Like no resolution before, today the largest organization of center-right political parties in the world IDC CDI, which brings together 109 center-right political parties from around the world, in the Executive Committee meeting held in Siem Reap, Cambodia, adopted a resolution which:

1. Strongly condemns the connections of Narkoshtet led by Edi Rama with drug cartels in Latin America, turning Albania into a money laundering launderer.

2. Condemns the political arrests and the attack on the Albanian opposition, led by the Democratic Party, where concrete examples are taken of the isolation under house arrest of the Chairman of the PDSH Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, without evidence, without facts, without charges and based on false documents, the brutal kidnapping and arrest of the former President/Prime Minister and at the same time the head of PL Ilir Meta, the political trial that is being held against the head of PR Fatmir Mediu, the political punishment with the prison of PD Deputy Ervin Salianji for a false report he did not file and the political arrest and beating of the former elected chairman of Himara, Fredi Beleri.

3. Supports the efforts of the Albanian opposition and its courageous fight for free and fair elections and for the restoration of democratic governance and the protection of fundamental rights in the country.

4. Emphasizing the importance of the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking as a vital task for a NATO member state and a candidate for EU membership, underlining the urgent need to break the ties that connect crime with the vote.

5. The need for an independent justice system which is not used as a weapon to fight the political opponent, but guarantees the rights and freedoms of Albanian citizens.

6. The country's need for a technical government based on the model of North Macedonia, with the aim of smooth running of the electoral process and guaranteeing the integrity of the elections.

7. CDI will closely follow developments in Albania and will support its members in the upcoming parliamentary elections in support of Albania's European journey.

Such a resolution, so clear, concrete and that puts a finger on the most important wounds of our country, even comparing our country with Lukashenko's Belarus, with whom Edi Rama had dinner a few days ago, has never been approved.

This clear signal, that the friends of the Democratic Party and our country have turned their eyes and minds to us, is a strong message and support at the right moment.

The upcoming elections are vital for Albania, so we must do everything to restore hope to the Albanians and to return the country to the tracks of the rule of law and the rule of law./ CNA
