The head of LZHK, Dashamir Shehi, again opposed the 2025 draft budget, as he stopped at pensioners.

Shehi again presented his proposal for increasing pensions with a huge basket of 300 million.

He declared that there is no need to make a new reform for pensioners, when with the same budget a big basket can be made.

"I say let's make a big basket, but which is necessary and the only way, of about 300 million to subsidize all pensions from 200 thousand lek and below, what the prime minister himself said, but which is not done in the way he said. That's a sacrifice for this budget, but it's not that terrible. 300 million, minus 10% of public investments, which are 1.6 billion, is 160 million. And I say this matter with the greatest calmness because a week ago we discussed the actual budget of 2023. There were 160 million missing that had not been invested, the same thing this year. Then, we take from this budget that it is not a big mistake, it is enough to make some better tenders, you can be sure that 160 million is more than that. 55 million has been provided by the government itself in the budget, 16 million for indexation, 55 million for the end-of-year bonus, 35 million, both together make almost 50 million. We borrow 90 million in the domestic market and this is where a basket was made that will fill the small pensions", Shehi emphasized./ CNA
