Today, the plenary session resumed in the Assembly to discuss the 2025 budget and then it will be approved.

The Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Taulant Balla, during his speech in the plenary session, started his speech with the serious event that happened at the 9-year-old school "Fan Noli".

The session started with debates between the opposition and the majority where they debated the killing of the 14-year-old yesterday by his peer.

At the beginning of his speech, Balla asked the DP representatives not to use these events for politics.

He said that this event should make us more responsible and called on the opposition to support all drastic legal measures regarding school security.

"I think that this should make us all responsible and as members of the Assembly we should come out and support all the drastic legal measures. Let's take a trigger from this event to approach strict security in schools. Shame on you for not comparing with other countries. Compare that with thousands of murders and rapes by Serbs and you say that this government behaves like Serbs and Albanians. You have no shame! You still have time to distance yourself from this, think about it all day and make comparisons as you see fit. Our Albania of 2030 will be members of the EU, while you have the opportunity to become part of this journey. But this rhetoric, this poison never makes Europeans. We need political forces, but PD has lost them along the way and as you have lost them, you will also lose the 2025 elections." / CNA
