Decision to close TikTok/ Protests begin in Tirana

The protest against the closure of TikTok has begun in Tirana. The protesters have been joined by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

The Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, told the media that the platform is being closed because it is exposing the regime's mask.

" TikTok, the platform where the regime's mask is torn. With the Censorship Commission set up by Braçe, it is censoring ," said Noka.

 

Meanwhile, the vice president of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, is of the opinion that TikTok should not be closed, but rather some filters should be put in place.

" What will happen to Tiktok in a year? Will TikTok be educated because I don't understand it? Why doesn't it happen like in other countries where some filters are put in place ," said Boçi.

 

The government decided on March 6 to close the social network TikTok for 12 months, starting March 13./ CNA
