Another withdrawal from the May 11 race has come from the ranks of the "DP-Alliance for Greater Albania" coalition.

Gloria Shllaku, who was part of the open list in the Shkodra district, has announced her withdrawal from running for MP.

Shllaku has stated that her withdrawal was intended to maximize opposition votes.

" As a candidate of the AShM coalition, I declare my withdrawal from the open list in the Shkodra Region, but not from the race for the May 11 elections. It is the race of all democrats, regardless of whether they are on the list or not. Thanking all supporters, the branch of the Democratic Party in Shkodra, the political leader Mr. Boçi, and the Shkodra Democrats, I take this step with the belief that the goal is not private accommodation, but a common victory.

No resentment or resentment in this case, but a sovereign decision, taken by me to make way for another democrat, Aurel Markaj, and in this way to maximize votes, increase cohesion and enable political rotation in Albania. This is a decision that takes into account the configuration of the areas of our region, and I think that Aureli would ensure a better proportion of candidates on the Shkodra list. The geographical territory requires political embrace, also based on origin, activity and connections.
