The member of the Municipal Council in Tirana, Ilir Alimehmeti, has spoken about the appearance at SPAK of the mayor Erion Veliaj and his questioning for about 7 hours by the prosecutors and investigators of the institution, as well as his statements where he calls them colleagues and collaborators.

Alimehmeti stated that Veliaj was called to SPAK and did not go willingly as he said.

"Erion Veliaj continues with his deceptions. SPAK does not call you for symbolic things, but for serious things. Veliaj went to SPAK because he was forced, not willingly. We requested an urgent meeting on the 5D file. We have requested an urgent meeting for the incinerators as well. It is bad news for citizens who have a totally corrupt municipality in Tirana", said Alimehmeti in an interview.

Alimehmeti further emphasized that the bleeding of money should be blocked.

"Justice delayed is justice absent. The money is running out and we are not getting the services. We must act efficiently. The bleeding of money must be stopped. The protest was also called by the people. We need the state to return to institutionality", he said./ CNA
