Veliaj, over 4 hours in tension

The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj

For more than 4 hours, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has been with the prosecutors at SPAK.

He is being interrogated by the prosecutors regarding the Tirana incinerator affair. CNA reported earlier that Veliaja lost his temper in front of SPAK prosecutors when he was confronted with facts and documents about his involvement in this affair. 

The mayor has turned yellow and asked for coffee, as he is not feeling well, in order to stabilize the tension and be able to answer all the questions. 

We remind you that about the incinerator file there were reports from the former LSI, now the Freedom Party, and from the head of the DP for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, who sent documents and facts to SPAK.

Veliaj appeared at SPAK only after the third summons, as he went an hour earlier and therefore was left at the door until the hour came./ CNA
